About Ons Hoek

Plettenberg Bay: The Crags – MMXVIII

Situated on That Wine Demesne, our working wine farm, with it’s sister house That Place, Ons Hoek is filled with our parents books, treasures and knickknacks.  This warm and comfortable house is for your exclusive use.
Designed as a lock-up-a20181005_071434nd-go for two people sharing, it has two bedrooms, ideal for the night-owl in the one and the early-bird in the other.  There is one bathroom to share.  The en-suite bathroom is off the one bedroom with step-up bath and shower & basin (no loo), while the powder room (loo & basin) is adjacent the second bedroom.20180730_162619

There is an open plan living area with lounge and an open fireplace, lovely for those chilly winter’s evenings, or for a little romance.  There is a well-stocked book case, plenty of candles and an intimate dining area with Edwardian sideboard.  The kitchen is well equipped with a gas stove, convection/microwave oven, fridge and all the bits and pieces to create delicious meals.
The  warm north-west verandah has a super undercover 20180730_162820sitting space with BBQ (braai) area which you share with a couple of rock pigeons.
It’s a wonderful way to end the day: nature, fire, food and good conversation.  Or relax on the balcony on the south east side, overlooking the Elephant Sanctuary and the lily pond, and of course, the wine farm.
A fully enclosed garden, which is lovely for dogs as it’s very spacious, with lily pond (a Golden Retriever’s dream home), overlooking the Tsitsikamma Mountains, the Elephant Sanctuary and Bramon Wine Estate.

Dogs are most welcome!
